Our Pick: Jon Rahm 11/1

Jon Rahm sits at the third favorite position for this years Masters. At odds of 11/1, you can bet $100 to net $1100. Rahm has been in the game since 1997 and in 2020 is really hitting his stride.

“Becoming a world No. 1 is a consequence of playing really good golf for a very long time, right? Winning a major championship is performing really well for a week,” explained Rahm.

“Now, the odds of people just coming in and just having a better week than you are very high. The odds of, not an annual player, but somebody to perform better than you for four years, can be a little bit harder. They need to improve week after week after week.”

The Favorites

Bryson DeChambeau: 8/1

The defending US Open champion Bryson DeChambeau is leading the odds at 8/1. With a $100 wager, paying out $800. DeChambeau has become famous for using unusual wedges for shots, if his putting is solid he will have a clear advantage on the leaderboard.

Dustin Johnson: 9/1

Dustin Johnson is another Masters favorite, with odds of 9/1. You can bet $100 on Johnshon. There is incredibly high hopes from his most recent form, expect him to be right up there come Sunday.

Justin Thomas: 12/1

JT has had a tough year, admittedly he played great and is due a win. With that chip on his shoulder, we’ve seen Justin Thomas pull of his biggest victories. With odds of 12/1, you can net $1200 off a $100 bet.

Bet on Golf! At MyBookie

Rory McIlroy: 14/1

Usually we see Rory within the top three favorites for any major PGA, that’s why there is value at 14/1.

According to Golf Channel “McIlroy enters the Masters, the final missing piece for his career grand slam, having finished T-21 or better in his last five PGA Tour starts, including a T-8 at the U.S. Open. McIlroy snapped his streak of five straight top-20s at Augusta National last year, when he finished T-21.”

The Longshots

Bubba Watson: 28/1

Bubba Watson has been there and donned the green jacket, after winning the Masters twice in his career. Third times a charm and at odds of 28/1, Bubba could certainly rise to the top once again.

Tiger Woods: 35/1

Tiger Woods performances as of late have been all over the board. At this stage of his career it’s hard to class him as a favorite, but he should never be overlooked. Remember he did win last years Masters, and at odds of 35/1 he could be worth another flutter.

Tyrrell Hatton: 28/1

According to GolfWeek “Hatton has been a model of consistency over the last year, playing numerous events on both sides of the Atlantic with equally impressive results.”

In just 14 events on the PGA Tour since the start of last season, the 29-year-old Englishman has seven top-10 finishes. Hatton might not have the firepower to win The Masters, but he’s a top player for a top-ten finish in that betting market.

Justin Rose: 50/1

Rose like many other golfers from across the pond, plans to head to Augusta to get acclimatized. The former #1 golfer, now ranked at #27, had this to say recently “I know how to play the golf course, I know the strategy that I like to see around there and how I like to play it,”

What to Expect from The Course

Augusta is expected to play out slightly different than previous years. Usually held towards the end of Spring, with decent weather and lot’s of visible color.

Although the weather has been good this time of year, there is rain in the forecast in the beginning of the week. With no fans usually means less pressure and can ease the nerves for such a mentally involved sport.
