Prediction for Shevchenko vs Maia
Valentina Shevchenko has only lost to one fighter in the UFC and that’s the female GOAT – Amanda Nunes. Anytime we see Shevchenko is a spectacle.
Maia on the other hand has also impressed, just going under the radar more so than the champ. Maia will have to bring her A-game to fight an elite striker like Shevchenko.
Shevchenko’s style is primarily a counter-striker, that’s not saying she won’t go for the kill if it doesn’t at her. All Shevchenko needs to get her timing down and we could be off to the races here. Within her arsenal she has a slick check right-hook, counter kicks and most of all she is a patient yet aggressive fighter.
Shevchenko can also take this fight to the ground, which is often an underrated attribute of her skillset. All this combined is why Vegas are so hot on Shevchenko.
On the other hand Jennifer Maia comes from a Jiu Jitsu background, but over the years has transfered to more Muay Thai style of fighting. Maia will look to unload some combos and her overhand right could be her key to victory here.
The downside of Maia’s style is here limited head movement. Her stand is very upright which leaves here head straight down that line of fire for Shevchenko. We expect Shevchenko to shut down all of Maia’s attempts, and put on another classic and dominant display.

Prediction for Figueiredo vs Perez
The reigning champion “The God of War” Deiveson Figueiredo returns to face Alex Perez to defend his title. These are two dangerous strikers and some of the hardest hitters we’ve seen at 125 pounds.
Expect Alex Perez to start the fight with more strike volume than Figueiredo. As per UFC Stats, Figueiredo averages 2.80 strikers per minute. Where as Perez is averaging around 4.68.
If Perez can leg those infamous leg kicks early enough, we could be facing a different scenario. Perez will have to be cautious about how he approaches Deiveson Figueiredo. We see Figueiredo tagging Perez scoring a knock down, which will allow Figueiredo to latch onto a submission.
