UFC 282 is set to feature rising star Paddy “The Baddy” Pimblett as he takes on fellow veteran featherweight Jared Gordon. UFC 282 will do down in Las Vegas at the T-Mobile arena on December 10 – headlined by Jan Blachowicz vs Magomed Ankalaev.

Paddy Pimblett vs Jared Gordon Prediction
Pimblett (19-3), is a former Strikeforce featherweight champion. His two most recent losses before he came to the UFC were by decision, with an early submission loss earlier in his MMA run. “The Baddy” has provided us with some highlight reel finishes inside the octagon from his first three UFC fights, including some tongue and cheek and other UFC interviews raising awareness to mental health.
Paddy’s UFC odds from his past three fights have always been around -150 to -250. With the exception of his last bout against Jordan Leavitt, where the Scouser opened at -400 but closed at -275 come fight night. Expect the UFC 282 betting line to move even closer, with late public money going on Gordon as a live dog’ here.
While the oddsmakers at most sports betting sites are modestly in favor of Pimblett, I do think Gordon is being overlooked here with his wrestling, grappling and overall UFC experience compared to Pimblett.
Gordon (19-5), joined the UFC in 2017 and since then has gone 11-4. He has recent wins over Joe Solecki and Leonardo Santos. With losses to some high-level UFC talent such as Charles Oliveira and Carlos Diego Ferreira.
Paddy does take unnecessary risks and leaves his chin exposed, in order to draw the opponent in. If he does get past Jared Gordon then this style of fighting won’t get him far enough before he gets KO’d.
The betting value for wagering on Pimblet vs Gordon at UFC 282, is the fight goes to a decision. I see a situation where Pimblett scores a flash KO and dive in for the submission, the majority of his fights he has to submit his opponents.

“Jared Gordon, I respect you. I like you as a person. But as a fighter, you’re not on my level, bro, and I’m coming to take your chin home with me.”
Pimblett said he had a hard time finding training partners in the U.K. who would spar him for this camp, but was able to get some rounds in with Dana White’s Contender Series alum Thomas Paull in London.
“Tom’s is like a similar build – similar height, throws similar shots to Jared Gordon, who as you know, I’m fighting,” Pimblett said. “He’s getting bingoed – watch.
“I’m a better striker. I’ve got better jiu-jitsu. I’ve got better wrestling. I’m going to have the whole crowd behind me. He’s going to be like, ‘What’s going on here? We’re in America and everyone is backing him.’ … But he is a good fighter. He is. But as I say, there’s levels to this game.”
