Best NFL Prop Bets Week 1: Winning Margin, Passing & Rushing Yards – Rams Vs. Bills

Stafford

Week 1 of the 2022 NFL season is officially here. The festivities kick off with a thrilling matchup between the Buffalo Bills and the Los Angeles Rams at SoFi Stadium, where Super Bowl LVI was held back in February.

With that being said, sports bettors are lining up to throw money around at prop pets for NFL Week 1 odds. So, let’s examine some of the best bets to make for the first week of games.

NFL Prop Bets Week 1

Week 1 is also difficult to predict. No, the NFL is always tough to predict no matter what, and this season is no different. However, Week 1 has a ton of eye-popping matchups, and we will see some players take a step forward to reaching their season-long prop bets.

Bet the Winning Margin: Baltimore Ravens 14+ over the New York Jets (Odds: +175)

This is as easy as it gets in Week 1. Lamar Jackson is proving to the Ravens that he wants a massive contract similar to Kyler Murray and Russell Wilson. Mark Andrews is headed for another monster year, and JK Dobbins, Kenyan Drake, and Mike Davis all are in the backfield in Baltimore.

The Jets don’t have Zach Wilson healthy just yet and appear to be ready to trot out ageless veteran Joe Flacco as the starting quarterback. That’s a recipe for disaster for New York, even with all of the young weapons on offense. Baltimore should have no issues throttling the Jets, and they could easily win this by 21 points or more. This has to be the easiest prop bet of Week 1.

Odds on Total Touchdowns Scored: Kansas City Chiefs at Arizona Cardinals: Over 6 TDs (-118)

Patrick Mahomes against Kyler Murray. Do we need to say more?

DeAndre Hopkins is suspended for six games and Mahomes doesn’t have Tyreek Hill anymore. Still, AJ Green, Rondale Moore, James Conner, Zach Ertz, Trey McBride, and Hollywood Brown are plenty for Murray to utilize.

JuJu Smith-Schuster, Marquez Valdes-Scantling, Skyy Moore, and Travis Kelce are plenty for Mahomes to use. Neither defense is all that exciting, and this could be the highest-scoring game of the weekend. Hammer the over on this one hard, and watch this NFL Week 1 prop bet win you some money.

Passing Yards Odds: Matthew Stafford Over 270.5 passing yards (-114)

Yes, the Rams are facing the Bills in the opener. But, Buffalo will be without star cornerback Tre’Davious White. Furthermore, the 270.5 over/under for Stafford seems surprisingly low, especially with both Cam Akers and Darrell Henderson barely getting back to full health after a series of injuries.

Cooper Kupp looks to make a name for himself once again in 2022, and Allen Robinson is ready to bounce back after a rough final year with the Chicago Bears. The Rams and Bills could also get into an offensive shootout, but Stafford’s 270.5 over/under passing yards are screaming the over. Sit back and watch this prop bet cash in on NFL Week 1.

Receiving Yards Odds: Stefon Diggs Over 69.5 receiving yards (-114)

Let’s go to the other sideline of the season opener. The Rams have Jalen Ramsey, but the Bills have Gabe Davis (a breakout candidate), and Isaiah McKenzie along with Jamison Crowder in the WR room. Dawson Know is expected to have a strong year at tight end, and James Cook and Devin Singletary will lead the backfield for Buffalo.

Diggs regressed a bit in 2021 but still caught 103 balls for 1,225 yards and 10 touchdowns (a career-high). If the Bills trail for most of this game, Josh Allen will have no choice but to force the ball into Diggs’ hands. Even if Ramsey guards him, there is a clear path to Diggs finishing this game with more than 100 yards, even in a loss.
