Netflix is making a significant investment in live sports for 2024. On July 20, the world’s largest streaming platform will feature “Iron” Mike Tyson against “The Problem Child” Jake Paul, in partnership with Paul’s Most Valuable Promotions brand.

I must admit, I was surprised by this announcement. Boxing has seen some unconventional matches in recent years, but the idea of 58-year-old Tyson facing off against Jake Paul was one fight I never expected to see happen!

Online sportsbooks are quickly rolling out betting odds for the Tyson vs. Paul match. Notably, DraftKings Sportsbook has already released hypothetical odds, anticipating a consensus among other legal sportsbooks for the actual real moneyline.

When and Where to Watch Tyson vs Paul?

Jake Paul and Mike Tyson’s highly anticipated match will be streamed live worldwide, exclusively on Netflix.

Tyson vs Paul Prediction

Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson represents Jake Paul’s most highly anticipated fight yet, marking his second bout of 2024.

This follows his impressive back-to-back knockout victories against professional boxers and Golden Glove winners Ryan Bourland on March 2 and Andre August in December 2023.

Paul’s evolution as a boxer on his journey towards becoming a world champion has been remarkable. Now, he faces one of the greatest and most formidable boxers of all time, Mike Tyson.

“It’s crazy to think that in my second pro fight, I went viral for knocking out Nate Robinson on Mike Tyson’s undercard. Now, less than four years later, I’m stepping up to face Tyson myself to see if I have what it takes to beat one of boxing’s most notorious fighters and biggest icons,”

Jake Paul

Mike Tyson (50-6, 44 KOs) on the other hand retired from professional boxing in 2005. Since then Tyson has been in the limelight from movie appearances, and podcasts to brand partnerships.

A true professional, Mike has maintained his fitness, and his intense pad work videos have gone viral over the past few years. The baddest man on the planet returned to the ring in 2020 to challenge former four-division world champion Roy Jones Jr.

Although this was an exhibition fight, where Tyson displayed glimpses of his prime. Even though the fight ended in a draw, Tyson seemed to dominate and may have even taken it easy on Jones. I can’t imagine Tyson holding back against Paul.

“I’m very much looking forward to stepping into the ring with Jake Paul at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas,” said Mike Tyson. “He’s grown significantly as a boxer over the years, so it will be a lot of fun to see what the will and ambition of a ‘kid’ can do with the experience and aptitude of a GOAT.  It’s a full circle moment that will be beyond thrilling to watch; as I started him off on his boxing journey on the undercard of my fight with Roy Jones and now I plan to finish him.”

Mike Tyson

One important factor to take into account if you are betting on this fight is Tommy Fury, Tyson Fury’s half-brother, recently beat Jake Paul in a split decision victory.

Fury landed more punches, including twice as many power punches as Paul. Despite Paul’s reputation for knockout power, Fury’s clinical finishing and consistent out-landing in every round show his strength as a fighter.

Mike Tyson has a KO percentage of 88% and is still regarded as one of the hardest-hitting punchers boxing has ever seen.

Even though Jake Paul is the younger fresher fighter, I can’t look past a fit and motivated Mike Tyson. My betting pick is going to be Mike Tyson by devastating KO. Let’s go!
