The outcome of this Taylor vs Serrano at the end of April is the biggest active female boxing boxer. This stage will be set in the world-famous Madison Square Garden with seven-pound world champion Serrano taking on Ireland’s undefeated Katie Taylor.

This historic fight will be live on DAZN and you won’t want to miss it. We review the best bets and fight predictions for Taylor vs Serrano below.

Taylor vs Serrano Predictions

First off, this fight could go either way. The oddsmakers at BetMGM currently have Taylor as a slight favorite -125, to Serrano as a +110 underdog

Serrano is a slick southpaw that throws heavy shots, and Katie could be in trouble if she walks into too many of Serrano’s counter punches. The Puerto Rican pro, has held 9 major world titles across seven different weight classes and comes in with a solid record of (42-1-1), and has notable wins over Heather Hardy and Daniela Romina Bermúdez.

Anyone who’s followed Katie Taylor’s career will know it’s been a heavily decorated one but her fights don’t come without their fair share of what-if moments. Especially Taylor’s last few bouts, where she’s slowed down towards the championship rounds, meanwhile absorbing more shots in the process.

Katie Taylor vs Amanda Serrano – PROMO

That being said, under the bright lights of Madison Square Garden Taylor has the grit to dig deep and find that second or third gear if need be to battle Serrano for 12 hard rounds. The key to victory here for Taylor will be to use her movement and feet work to her best advantage, cut off the ring, and put together some smooth combinations. What Serrano needs to do, is smoother Katie and close that distance that limits the effectiveness of Katie’s momentum, then land more body shots in the clinch.

Serrano’s the more experienced fighter, but she typically doesn’t fight as big of opponents as Taylor. Expect to see Serrano trying to beat up Taylor early in the fight and its up to Taylor to maintain her composure and counter punch off the back foot.

Overall this fight could come down to who’s got the better engine, as I mentioned above we’ve seen Katie slump lately I see her pulling this one out of the bag once again and becoming the undisputed women’s champions of the world. Be sure to check out the latest Taylor vs Serrano odds in advance.

Taylor vs Serrano set to ‘Rock the Garden’

One of the main talking points leading up to this blockbuster fight is surrounding whether female boxers will have to move up to three-minute rounds rather than the ten two-minute rounds they fight currently. In order to make boxing an equally even playing field, I see this eventually being changed to match men’s rules. Taylor vs Serrano might just be the final push it needs in order to change these rules.

Rosie Perez spoke to DAZN recently, she is proud to see Serrano getting the big night her hard work has been leading towards.

“When someone says Amanda Serrano, I think of a champion. I think of a young woman who is dedicated to her sport.  Who’s been knocked around outside the ring in regard to lesser pay? Who’s going to have the moment of her career come April 30 at Madison Square Garden. It’s just so exciting. I’m so happy for her. She’s going to rock The Garden.”

“The Real Deal” vs “The Bray Bomber” is the type of matchmaking we love to see in boxing. The best for the best, it’s starting to trickle over to men’s boxing too with the recent announcement of Devin Haney vs George Kambosos Jr.

    1. I see your point! Could be lots of public money going on Taylor, influencing the betting line. Although some sportsbooks are giving Serrano the edge. Either way, should be a great fight!
