Chris Daukaus | +105 |
According to the latest Lewis vs Daukaus odds via BetMGM Sportsbook, Daukaus is a current slight favorite – (Bet $125, Net $100). I’m seeing the betting line coming closer to a pick em’ depending on which UFC sportsbook you check. For Lewis as an underdog offers real betting value, he’s infamous for scoring late KOs in fights. At +105, you can wager $100 on Lewis to net $105.
Lewis vs Daukaus Predictions
Derrick Lewis wants to make up for his loss in an interim title fight against Cyril Gane this past summer at UFC 265 after he had won four straight fights. Lewis has had two cracks at UFC gold now and came up short both times.
Derrick’s game plan revolves around setting up a strike to launch a knockout punch or switch kick. It’s been a mostly successful plan with 12 UFC KOs recorded, which puts him at an advantage over everybody else in the division.
Derrick Lewis has had a rollercoaster UFC career and he’s admitted he’s not there for the UFC gold but as a regular prizefighter. It’s hard to judge Lewis’s motivation heading into this bout and for that reason “The Black Beast” is a risky bet – but when isn’t he really!

All of Daukaus’ UFC fights have ended in a KO/TKO within the first round, except for his last bout with Shamil Abdurakhimov, who he finished in the second round. It’s safe to say Philly-based fighter has a strong rising and will give former title challenger Lewis a real battle.
In terms of having an advantage Chris lands with much more volume, 9.03 compared to 2.49 for Lewis. Chris also has the better defense and is a faster starter, which Lewis is not used to.
While the early public betting money is going on Lewis, the oddsmakers are united with Daukaus having a slight advantage here.
Betting Pick: Chris Daukaus by TKO/KO.
Daukaus Means Business
Chris Daukaus is storming through the heavyweight division. At 32 years of age with a record of 12-3. While juggling the role of a Police Officer since 2010, Chris sees himself as two fights away from a title shot.
At the moment there are some real rising contenders at heavyweight in the mix including Tom Aspinall, Sergey Spivak, and Sergei Pavlovich. Not to mention the upcoming UFC 270 bout to decide who’s the “badest man” on the planet Francis Ngannou or Ciryl Gane.
