Oleksandr Usyk was initially set to make his heavyweight boxing debut against Carlos Takam during the summer but had to pull out due to an injury.

Usyk opens as a huge betting favourite and rightly so, at 33/1 you would have to bet $330 to make $10. While Spong’s kickboxing record is unparalleled he has yet to prove that in the boxing game, bet $100 on the Dutch kickboxer to profit $1000 if successful on the night.

Spong’s boxing resume isn’t near as impressive as his highly decorated kickboxer career which he retired from in 2015, following in the footsteps Vitali Klitschko and Chris Algieri who made the transition from kickboxing to boxing. This is a fun and fan friendly bout, but we can’t see it going any other way with Usyk being the prohibitive favourite across the board.
