Walt Harris Time to Shine?
Harris (13-7) (1-NC), is a pure finisher at heavyweight. in all of his 13 wins they come by knockout. Alistair Overeem will be arguably the biggest fight of his career.
Harris can draw some knowledge from his past valuable experience when he fell short against former UFC heavyweight champion Fabricio Werdum in 2017.
On Facing Alistair Overeem
Speaking to MMAJunkie recently, Harris had this to say: “I feel like it’s where I’m supposed to be as far as my professional career goes,”
“I’m excited to get in there and test myself against Overeem. I looked up to him. I watched him fight before I ever put a pair of gloves on, so it’s dope to get a chance to go in there and test my mettle against him. I feel like it’s a fight that I can win. I know I’m going to win it, and I’ve got other forces helping me, so it’s going to be fun April 11.”
Overeem came up short against Jairzinho Rozenstruik in December 2019. He was winning the bout on many judges but got clipped within seconds of the final bell. Overeem’s downfall is his chin which will be tested against a hard hitter like Harris.
Expect Harris to come out quickly and overwhelm Overeem with a knockout within the first two rounds.
