Lawler vs Barberena
  • UFC 276 betting odds are favoring Robbie Lawler -120 over Bryan Barberena +100.
  • Robbie Lawler stopped Nick Diaz in the last scrap to snap his four-fight losing streak.
  • Can Bryan “BamBam” Barberena pick up a win over UFC legend Lawler at UFC 276?

“Ruthless” Robbie Lawler returns at UFC 276 on what is already a stacked card. The UFC vet is set to square off against welterweight contender Bryan Barberena. The combination of Lawler and Barberena’s style should lift the roof off the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on July 2nd. We review the UFC odds and give an early fight prediction for Lawler vs Barberena below.

Lawler vs Barberena Odds

FighterOdds
Robbie Lawler-120
Bryan Barberena+100

The latest Lawler vs Barberena odds has flipped since opening recently. Now the former UFC welterweight champion Lawler is a slight -120 favorite (Bet $120, Net $100). Meanwhile, his opponent Bryan Barberena still has a solid chance after becoming the underdog in this bout, as the public money has been wagered heavily on fan favorite “Ruthless”.

UFC 276 Betting on Lawler vs Barberena

In his last outing, Barberena earned the biggest victory of his MMA career with a win against Matt Brown at UFC on ESPN 33. This was an intense fight, which earned them a Fight of the Night award. To follow up on his three-fight win streak, “Bam Bam” plans to add another solid name to his growing resume in Robbie Lawler.

Barberena has been a solid betting favorite in his last few bouts, with the one recent exception being when he fought Vicente Luque. “BamBam” closed as a -110 favorite over Matt Brown in his last fight, a fight he was initially the underdog when online sportsbooks released their opening odds.

Robbie Lawler made a big return in 2021 with an old-school fight for the ages against Nick Diaz. Lawler looked the best we’ve seen him in years, that being said Nick wasn’t flight-ready but still brought the action to a sold-out crowd in Vegas at UFC 266. This fight ended Lawler’s four-fight losing skid. His last win prior to that was against Donald Cerrone in 2017, the fight before that was his infamous title loss to Tyron Woodley. It’s certainly been a harsh fall from grace for Robbie, but that reminisces of his fight style – he puts it all on the line.

Both of these fighters are pressure fighters, when it comes to crunch time Lawler has more tools in his arsenal to hurt Barberena. We’ve seen Lawler mix it up with head kicks combined with a variety of strikes to keep Barberena on his toes. That being said, neither fighter will come out of this fight unscathed and I expect it to be a close fight, which is appropriate given the current betting line.

This marks the first time Robbie Lawler will be the betting favorite for a fight since he fought Rafael dos Anjos back in 2017. Given Lawler’s impressive performance in his last fight and knowing that Barberena is a solid opponent but still not elite, I like Lawler’s chances here of picking up a second UFC win in a row over “BamBam”.

UFC 276 Fight Card Odds

UFC international fight week is typically the UFC’s version of the Super Bowl. In recent years we’ve seen TUF Finale being held the Friday before the PPV. This year’s card delivers two title fights and match-ups between exciting fighters such as Alex Pereira, Sean O’Malley, and of course Robbie Lawler.
