Tuivasa vs Pavlovich Prediction
In September, Tuivasa suffered a setback in the form of a bout with Ciryl Gane at UFC Paris, ending his five-fight win streak. Prior, he experienced five victories, including a knockout victory over Derrick Lewis, Augusto Sakai, and Stefan Struve.
Pavlovich recently defeated Lewis also, taking out the perennial contender in under a minute at UFC 277 this past July. The fight lasted less than 60 seconds. Premature stoppage? – none the less it was trending in Pavlovich’s favor to take home the W.
The Russian had taken four straight victories, with his lone UFC defeat taking place in his promotional debut when he fought Alistair Overeem. All of Pavlovich’s UFC victories have come in the form of first-round KO TKO.
Tuivasa is no stranger to being overlooked by the oddsmakers. Prior to fighting Ciryl Gane, “Bam Bam” was a +165 underdog against Derrick Lewis – an explosive fight that saw Tuivasa stopping “The Black Beast” in the second round.
Tuivasa is prone to getting hit though, as we saw against Gane. Once Tuivasa started to fatigue the Frenchman had no issues chipping away and putting an end to Tuivasa’s title shot in the 3rd round. Scoring four straight KO victories will give Pavlovich the confidence to go all-out against Tuivasa which could really go either way.
I see this fight as more of a pick’em with two sluggers looking to put each other away. Betting on the under 2.5 round and Tuivasa by KO would be my UFC same game parlay for the co-main.
Betting Prediction: Tuivasa by KO
