For Gilbert Burns this will be his biggest test to date, he holds impressive wins over Demian Maia, Gunnar Nelson both tricky welterweights. If you see Burns causing another upset, bet $100 to win $130.

Can Woodley Get His Title Back?

Woodley (19-4-1), is starting to get up there in age. At 38 years of age the former champ could have one more run at the title. Clearly the version of Woodley that fought Usman was a shadow of his former self. Still he lost fair and square in a decisive one sided beat down.

Woodley has remained inactive for 14 months, instead focusing on his rap and film career. He was supposed to fight Leon Edwards at one point, though it didn’t transpire.

Why Burns Over Other Contenders?

Woodley is taking a gamble fighting Burns, instead of Colby Covington or a rescheduled Leon Edwards who are more household names. Woodley might be picking the fast track route back to title contention.

Gilbert Burns now stands in between that. Burns who is on a five-win fight streak, looking the best since entering the UFC back in 2014. If the fight goes to the mat expect Burns to have a clear advantage. This is a tough fight to predict, but we can’t deny Tyron Woodley has the overall advantage over Gilbert Burns.

Update: Gilbert Burns will now face Kamaru Usman, with the latest odds covered here.
