Fury vs Wilder odds have remainder one-sided since they opened for the trilogy. Fury steamrolled Wilder in the rematch and the third fight has many scratching their heads in how Wilder comes back. Wilder’s silence speaks volumes so far and perhaps should be a cause for concern for the “Gypsy King”? We review the latest betting props and predictions for Fury vs Wilder 3.
Prediction for Fury vs Wilder 3
The trilogy between Fury and Wilder comes 16 months after their last fight. Both boxers have been inactive over the course of the pandemic. With Fury eyeing up a Joshua fight and Wilder sharpening his tools for the trilogy he wanted so badly. Wilder remained muted during the press conference, yet continues to claim Fury cheated and will do so again in the trilogy.
How has Fury improved since his last fight? Fury has kept the same trainer and team that he used for his last bout. The combination of SugaHill Stewart and Andy Lee help Fury win decisively. A more aggressive Fury came out in immediately and worked the body and head of Wilder, which seemed to leave Wilder stunned. “The Bronze Bomber” didn’t have the footwork to deal with Fury’s onslaught. If Wilder can make one adjustment that should be it, he needs to be lighter on his feet and not keep them planted relying on one punch KO’s that aren’t as effective when Fury closes the distance.
It’s difficult to predict an outcome where Wilder get’s his hand raised against Fury. Over the course of 18 rounds they’ve fought between the two fights, on average Wilder won at most two to three rounds. Wilder might have more success using the jab, and will need to hurt or KO Fury early in the fight to have any success here. We seen him knock Fury to the canvas in their first fight, but Fury rose from the ashes and came back with a completely different game plan in the rematch.
If Fury makes Wilder fight off the back foot, we could see this fight done by the 6th round. Wilder has many bad habits, that Fury exposed in both of their bouts. Plus at 35 years of age it’s extremely difficult to change your style and take on such an allusive fighter like the “Gypsy King”.
When he comes to fighting at distance Fury is the king of that at heavyweight. He also showed us he can fight on the inside too, I expect Fury to show us both styles in the trilogy to really throw Wilder off guard. The key for Fury winning this trilogy to to be defensively aware and maintaining focus throughout the bout. Everything else should fall into place given his high boxing IQ, for Fury to stop Wilder before last three rounds.
