It’s been a huge week for fight announcements in the UFC’s middleweight division. Following on the heels of Costa vs Cannonier odds, which were released yesterday. It’s rumored that the UFC is planning a Fight Night in London with Till vs Brunson headlining it.

According to the opening odds from FanDuel for Till vs Brunson, Darren is a -160 modest favorite (Bet $160, win $100). For Brunson as the underdog with an implied win probability of 43%, (Bet $100, win $132).

The oddsmakers have this betting line spot on here. Till has picked up some close losses recently, but showed his high-level fight IQ for five rounds against Robert Whittaker. Meanwhile, Brunson is not being overlooked after his recent string of wins.

Betting Value on Derek Brunson

Brunson has rebounded at 185 pounds, picking up four straight wins since 208. Now a true contender at this latter stage of his career, he plans to make one more title run with a win over Darren Till.

Historically Brunson has been overlooked by the oddsmakers. From even money betting line against Elias Theodorou to be a major underdog to Edmen Shahbazyan – who defeated via stoppage. Brunson now finds himself as the B-side against Till, although he is coming off a decisive win over Kevin Holland in March.

Typically the UFC doesn’t pair Darren Till with strong wrestlers his own size. He managed to keep Kelvin Gastelum at bay but still lost and when he fought Tyron Woodley it was a huge eye-opener to a gap in the Liverpudlians arsenal. Since Brunson ragdolled Holland around the octagon, this could always be a strategy against Till, if he is getting outmatched on the feet.
