Charles Oliveira was crowned the new UFC lightweight champion at UFC 262. Defeating Michael Chandler by second-round TKO, to become the 11th lightweight champion. After 27 UFC fights it’s been a long road “Do Bronx”, now the oddsmakers have released multiple betting lines for the new champions’ next fight.

Oliveira vs McGregor Odds

FighterOdds
Charles Oliveira+145
Conor McGregor-165

Online sportsbooks are giving Oliveira a 40.82% chance of defeating McGregor. (Bet $100, win $145). This betting line hasn’t moved much since the opening odds were released after UFC 262.

Odds are now available for these two MMA futures fights. Check out our list of best online sportsbooks here.

It may come as a surprise to many that Oliveria is the betting underdog to not only McGregor but Poirier too. However, “Do Bronx” has been overlooked his whole UFC career.

He’s been written off multiple times by fans and media during his first few years of fighting. His style of fighting has evolved from an attacking Jiu-Jitsu fighter to become a complete monster to deal with – no matter where the fight goes.

Could McGregor become a Proper Number Twelve Champ?

“Conor, worry about Dustin. Conor, since you’re so tough: First of all, you beat Dustin, and then you come over to Brazil and I’m going to put you on your ass,” Oliveira told reporters through an interpreter.

“First he’s got to get past Dustin. He’s one of these guys that just talks a lot. He’s got to beat Dustin first.”

Oliveira vs Poirier Odds

FighterOdds
Charles Oliveira+155
Dustin Poirier-180

Oliveira is currently a +155 underdog against Poirier (Bet $100, win $155). Meanwhile, “The Diamond” is growing as a firm favoriter over “Do Bronx” at -180, you would need to put down $180 to net $100 profit.

When the early odds were released for Oliveira’s next fight. The betting line was the exact same for odds against McGregor and Poirier. Now that has changed slightly, with some early cash going on Poirier to defeat Oliveira. While Poirier remains the betting underdog against McGregor for the trilogy, people realize that Dustin’s style could be a bad match-up for Oliveira.

During UFC 262 fight week, UFC president Dana White said the winner of Oliveira-Chandler would meet the victor of Poirier-McGregor.

It’s an exciting turn of events for the lightweight division. How do you think the new champ will make his first title defense against? Comment below!
